CS5 seems to be the basic standard for someone who needs a classic
vintage monophonic synth from the '70s. A little bit of basses, a
little bit of leads, a little bit of FX noodling, plus an external
input for filtering audio signals. Nonetheless, simplicity and
friendliness is not enough to make a synth successful. Did you ever
wodner why the CS line is (relatively) cheap? I did, and I think it's
because it sounds too 'perfect'. As if the engineers at Yamaha had
been too good at taming the analog instability (a quality perceived as
a downside back in the day), and now people interpret the results as
"characterless".

ze brzmi zbyt "perfekcyjnie". Jak gdyby inzynierowie
Yamahy byli zbyt dobrzy w ujarzmianiu analogowej niestabilnosci (ktora
to cecha byla wielce niepozadana w ich czasach), co teraz skutkuje w
interpretowaniu tego brzmienia jako "bezbarwne".
