Now this I understand !!! It's the 12 voice version and I paid $300, which makes it one of the most innocent toys & best deals in history. But will everybody else be as lucky as I have been? I guess the majority of deals reach the $600 level, and that's the moment when I jump in with my "too overpriced" argument. But I've ranted enough in the Nord 2x review, and I have no reason to continue to do so here.

I bough this Nord as the last one in line during my Nord saga (first 2x, then 3, and now 1). I'm touching the panel that witnessed the year 1995, I look at the austere design, at the yellowed keys, I'm listening to the sawwave and I... get sort of shivers, or at least some kind of excitement. It's the first time when I can say that I'm having the vintage experience on a VA synth, as opposed to the "real" vintage-analog. Actually it's 2013 so a 1995 synth could qualify as vintage already... or could it? I have a funny feeling that I may be behaving like a clown that pops up from its wind-up box driven by cheap mechanism, in this case the mechanism being the forces of  psychology, or sentimentality to be more precise.

I can't really tell whether there's much difference between Nord 1 and 2, but I think that YES, this Nord has a rawer sound than the 3 series. The big question is - is this a change for the better? I'm not sure, because here a more raw tone can also mean a more sullen tone. So I won't be fuelling the pointless debate and say which Nord is better, because if I need the crispy, austere tone, then the Nord 1 is better, but if I'd like some smooth & spacious modulated pad with a digital aura, then I'd go and just grab the Nord 3. Besides, the practical difference is so slight that you must be a total freak to notice and care. I think I don't, and if one of my Nords was to be stolen, I'd prefer the burglar to take the 1. The 1 is so simple that I would bore myself to death living with it as my staple synth, whereas the Nord 3 is the proper synth experience. In terms of sound and features / price, the Nord 2x seems to be the best balance.

No i to rozumiem !!! Oto wersja 12-glosowa za ktora zaplacilem 1100zl, co czyni ten synth jedna z najbardziej niewinnych zabawek a ten deal jednym z najlepszych w historii. Ale czy inne dusze tez beda obdarzone przez los takim szczesciem? Zapewne wiekszosc sprzedazy siega poziomu 2000zl, a to jest moment kiedy ja wskakuje z moim argumentem pt. "przesada". Ale juz naskakalem sie dostatecznie przy opisywaniu NL2x i nie ma powodu abym robil to jeszcze raz tutaj.

Kupilem tego Norda jako ostatniego z sagi (najpierw 2x, potem 3, teraz 1). Dotykam panel ktory uswiadczyl roku 1995, spogladam na ascetyczny design, na pozolkle klawisze, wsluchuje sie w oscylator i... tak jakby dostaje dreszczy, albo przynajmniej lekkiego podekscytowania. To pierwszy przypadek kiedy moge powiedziec, ze doswiadczam wrazenia "vintage" na wirtualnym analogu w opozycji do "prawdziwego" analoga. W sumie mamy rok 2012 wiec sprzet z 1995 mozna od biedy podciagnac pod termin "vintage".
Nie potrafie stwierdzic czy istnieje znaczna roznica miedzy Nordem 1 a 2, ale mysle, ze TAK - ten Nord ma bardziej surowy i chrupki dzwiek niz seria 3.

Mozliwe, ze robie glupio piszac takie rzeczy i dolewajac oliwy do bezsensownej debaty pt. "ktory Nord jest lepszy", bo jesli bede potrzebowac chrupki i ascetyczny ton to Nord 1 jest lepszy, ale do gladkiego i gleboko zmodulowanego pada z cyfrowym doprawieniem wybiore Norda 3. Poza tym roznica w brzmieniu jest tak mala, ze trzeba byc totalnym maniakiem aby mialo to znaczenie i aby to zauwazac. Ja raczej nie zwracam na to uwagi i jesli zlodziej mialby mi ukrasc jeden z dwoch Nordow, to wolalbym aby wzial ze soba jedynke. Jedynka jest tak prosta, ze zanudzilbym sie z nia na smierc, podczas gdy trojka to syntezatorowa wycieczka pelna geba. Natomiast wersja 2x to najlepszy balans.
