For some it may be a toy, for others it may be a useful source of 8 bit Atari era sounds. Thank God it's equipped with headphones output socket. It reads songs from ROM cards, but if you didn't buy the cards together with the keyboard, I predict a hard time getting them (if you show interest in doing that for whatever reason...) I bet you're attracted by and are wondering about the purpose of the colorful diodes lining the keybed. The Melody Guide function makes use of that: it lights up the diodes representing each key, which is supposed to teach you the melody.
